B.Tech Builders Track · Selective first cohort

Engineer. Operator. Builder.

A selective, build-first Tech × Business × AI track inside your university's B.Tech. Learn to engineer with AI and to understand an industry, a business function and a customer: the mix that forward-deployed and AI-implementation roles ask for. Ship products, run a venture, build agents businesses rely on, and graduate with your degree, industry experience and a public portfolio.

Why the Builders Track

AI now writes much of the code. Employers hire the people who decide what to build, check it works and make it matter.

Your engineering degree teaches you how systems work. The Builders Track adds what the next decade of work asks for: building with AI, understanding a business, and explaining your work with confidence, in studios where you make real things for real people.

Your degree stays real

You study a regular, on-campus B.Tech awarded by your university. The Builders studios sit in its approved elective, skill, project and internship slots.

You learn by building

Every year is designed to end with something shipped, sold or earned: a venture, a product with users, a paid client project, an industry semester.

You graduate with proof

A verified builder record a recruiter can open: agents with usage logs, client sign-offs, venture post-mortems, and scores tested with and without AI.

Your university teaches maths, sciences, the engineering core and labs. The Builders studios replace electives, projects and internships, not your core subjects.

What you learn

Four kinds of knowledge, one habit.

The future of work rewards people who can move between technology, business and people. The track is built around that, with engineering depth as the spine.

01 · About 45% of studios

Build with technology

Python and JavaScript, data and SQL, AI engineering and agents, testing and verification.

02

Build businesses

Customer discovery, product, growth and sales, finance and strategy, learned by running a venture and serving clients.

03

Understand the world

Economics, design, sector studios in fintech, health and manufacturing, AI ethics and India's digital public infrastructure.

04

Lead and communicate

Writing, speaking, podcasting and leading a team, in English and in the language of your customer.

Graded in every studio: AI-native judgement

Every studio tests you twice: once with AI, where you direct, verify and measure, and once without it, where you explain, debug and defend. Every piece of work ships with a verification log: what you checked, how, and what failed. In Year 1, AI works as a tutor that gives hints, not answers; from Year 2 you build with full agents and keep the logs.

Find your intersection

Engineers who understand a business are rare. Become one.

Code alone is no longer the job. The roles opening up need an engineer who also understands an industry and how a business function works. Over four years you explore several, then go deep where they meet.

AI engineering × healthcare

AI implementation in healthcare

Put AI into clinical and hospital workflows that actually get used.

Product × EdTech

AI product roles in EdTech

Decide what to build for learners, then build and measure it.

Engineering × client work

AI implementation, then forward-deployed

Start by putting AI to work inside a client's team. Forward-deployed roles usually ask for two to four years of that experience first.

The four-year journey

Every year is built to end with something shipped, sold or earned.

Year 1

Maker

From user to maker.

  • Build with AI on top of your programming course
  • First Rupee venture with ₹5,000 seed money
  • Your first AI agent, used by a local business
  • Podcast season 1 and Bharat Immersion 1
Year 2

Builder

Ship for real users.

  • A full-stack product with real users
  • A paid AI consulting sprint for a local business
  • GCC-hub week in Bengaluru or Hyderabad
  • Placement-readiness lab begins
Year 3

Operator

Go deep, go live.

  • A depth track: software and agents, data, or AI engineering
  • A venture or an employer live brief
  • Demo Day and a summer internship
  • A national hiring test in Semester 6
Year 4

Professional

Work and earn.

  • A capstone on a real employer or venture problem
  • Hiring week with employer partners
  • A paid industry semester (Extended)
  • Graduate with your degree, work record and portfolio
Signature experiences

The classroom is the smallest room you will learn in.

Built for students who want more than lectures, on budgets that work for Indian families.

Year 1

First Rupee venture

Teams of four, ₹5,000 seed money and ten weeks to win real customers. Graded on what you tested and learned, not on how much you sold.

Every year

Agent Lab

Ship one AI agent a year that a real business uses, with tests, an evaluation and a usage log you can show.

[Photo: two students recording a podcast]
Years 1–3

Podcast and Build-in-Public

Interview founders and operators from your own city, publish what you build, and grow a network before you need one.

[Photo: students visiting a manufacturing cluster]
Years 1–3

Bharat Immersions

Industrial clusters, a week at India's tech hubs, and a multi-city trip by train to see how India really works.

[Photo: a team presenting to a client]
Year 2

Paid client sprint

Digitise and automate a local business with AI. The client pays, and you leave with your first paid project on record.

Year 3

Venture Initiation and Demo Day

Founders build with mentors and pitch to incubators and investors. Everyone else delivers a live brief for an employer.

How you are assessed

Graded on what you build, and on how well you defend it.

1

Build outcome. A working artefact, with users, a client sign-off or a venture record, plus a verification log of what you checked and what failed.

2

No-AI checkpoint. A timed, tool-free task on the studio's core ideas.

3

Oral defence. Explain your work, debug it live and handle a change request.

Placement readiness, every semester

The Gate & Voice lab

Recruiters still screen on aptitude, timed coding and spoken English before they look at a portfolio. From Semester 3 you train and test for those gates every semester on Board Infinity's assessment platform, and you sit a national hiring test in Semester 6.

Where it can take you

Roles where technology meets business, and where they lead.

We do not promise placements or salaries. We prepare you for specific roles, track every graduate, and publish what happened, with the method.

First roles we prepare you for

  • AI implementation or solutions engineer in a chosen industry
  • AI automation or AI operations engineer
  • Applied AI engineer (junior)
  • Pre-sales, solutions or customer success engineer
  • GTM engineer or technical revenue operations
  • Junior data or analytics engineer
  • AI quality, evaluation and test-automation engineer
  • Product or business analyst

Where builders go in 3–5 years

  • Forward-deployed engineer
  • Solutions architect
  • AI product manager
  • Analytics engineer
  • Founder or early team member

No Builders cohort has graduated yet. Until one does, we will publish studio results, internships and Gate & Voice scores each year. Students who continue their venture are reported as founders, never as placed.

Learn something new, then use it

We teach you something unfamiliar for 30 minutes and see how you apply it. Then you explain one choice in a short piece of writing.

04

A structured interview
